Producer of the track Buster Wolf uses his knack for hearing loops where others don’t and puts together this soulful beat that immediately sets the tone. Accompanied by sweeping horns laid over the lo-fi drum beats, which gives the song its triumphant drive, Artisan P flows playfully across the track from the start to end. Lyrically, he has fun with his word choice while touching on themes on learning to love yourself, respecting others, and making the best of your failures.
“Golden” is the first of more Artisan P singles to come leading up to the release of his first full-length LP, Golden Summer, due out in August. Stream it now on Spotify, Apple Music, and Bancamp.
