Palm Court - Album

Release Date: 11/15/24

Palm Court was conceived and completed over the course of the summer, which heavily influenced the swampy tone of the album. The production creates a steamy atmosphere, a sound self-proclaimed as garden groove — lush euphoric keys, slick guitars, muddy bass lines, and catchy melodies, all layered over boom bap-inspired beats.

The album features guest appearances from rappers Artisan P and buster wolf, who provide verses. Artisan P’s appearance comes in the form of a double-feature, on songs, “Digits” and “Storm Ashore”.  On the closing track “Jurakán”, buster wolf succinctly depicts his feelings during the past summer. He shares his personal ode to another season of hurricanes and storms, disrupting our normal routines.

Phonons WOW! - Album

Release Date: 10/04/24

If you’ve been following buster wolf’s catalog for the past two years, you’ve noticed his releases alternate between instrumental and vocal projects. Continuing that pattern brings us to Phonons WOW!, the new instrumental project; and as with every album he drops, his sound changes directions from the previous release.

This album plays out like a collage of ideas, born out of the time spent on the back porch. The songs blend like changing moods, changing as fast as the summer storms come and go. Throughout, buster wolf dips in and out of several genres; there are strong Caribbean influences, as well as obscure vintage clips that give a touch of vaporwave. With all these different sounds and sources of inspiration, buster wolf truly creates a very unique and very personal soundscape that we can all enjoy.

Bodega Rat - EP

Release Date: 04/05/24

buster wolf returns to the mic on his latest self-produced album, Bodega Rat. His new album serves as the spiritual follow up to 2022's your kids deserve better. Both albums are separated by two years and an instrumental EP, but were created using similar approaches: making vignettes out of the introspective and personal moments from our day-to-day.

There are elements of vaporwave, drumless lo-fi hip-hop, and even a little bit of art punk. Lyrically, buster wolf seamlessly shifts between sarcastic and witty, to self-reflective and honest. While running at exactly 13 and a half minutes across 10 tracks, there’s no shortage of lyrics that still manage to require multiple listens to really capture what’s at play here.

Don’t Tell A Soul

DTAS - EP

Release Date: 10/13/23

Don’t Tell A Soul is the collaborative effort between Florida rappers Artisan P and Buster Wolf. As friends label mates, the two emcees have been collaborating for years, appearing on each other’s albums, singles, and unreleased demos dating as far back as 2015. So it was only right for them to finally get together to release a proper project together. DTAS EP features 4 new songs featuring production from Buster Wolf himself, as well as Citronella Room label mates DJ Proof and Late Show Host. This cast of producers delve into a boom-bap and lo-fi hip-hop landscape, with each song carving out its own lane.

DJ PROOF

Red Wine & Veggie Burgers - EP

Release Date: 03/03/23

Red Wine & Veggie Burgers showcases the more laid-back side of the beat-maker, who’s known to craft classic hard-hitting, neck-snapping boom-bap. But on this tape, DJ Proof goes for a sound more influenced by jazz and the finer things in life. It’s the perfect soundtrack for the end of those long nights that blend into dawn.
