buster wolf - Bodega Rat - Digital
buster wolf returns to the mic on his latest self-produced album, Bodega Rat. His new album serves as the spiritual follow up to 2022's your kids deserve better. Both albums are separated by two years and an instrumental EP, but were created using similar approaches: making vignettes out of the introspective and personal moments from our day-to-day.
There are elements of vaporwave, drumless lo-fi hip-hop, and even a little bit of art punk. Lyrically, buster wolf seamlessly shifts between sarcastic and witty, to self-reflective and honest. While running at exactly 13 and a half minutes across 10 tracks, there’s no shortage of lyrics that still manage to require multiple listens to really capture what’s at play here.
The instrumental version of the album will be available with every digital purchase, and will be included on side B of the limited edition pink cassette.
